Donors with International Addresses

We are interested in collecting donors' physical addresses to track where donations come from, so we checked the required box for mailing address on the donation form. When I start entering a non-U.S. physical address in the Address 1 box, I know autopopulates based on Google Maps to any international address, which is great! BUT donors from Canada and other countries outside the U.S. have been confused by the dropdown for state that's
only
U.S. and by the format of the form designed for U.S. addresses. Is there any way to cue these international donors that Give Lively accepts non-U.S. addresses besides me explaining to them if they reach out?
