Remove "Donate" from Receipt

When purchasing tickets, the receipt should NOT say "Donation". If a portion of the transaction is a donation, it should be itemized separately. Example: we have businesses that purchase tickets for our services. A receipt that says Donation may be entered into their books incorrectly. Please address this as soon as possible. Any suggestions on how to handle this now is appreciated. Thank you.

Robin Nick Farano Just want to confirm if you're referring to the section header 'Donation Summary' as the desired section to be renamed? Otherwise we itemize the donation in the section above under the ticket purchase.

Matt Connelly: Maybe Transaction Summary for that header, since it has FMV info in it?

Matt Connelly: A deduction is available for the gifts you make to charities, religious organizations and many other non-profits. ... When you purchase a ticket to a charitable fundraising event, such as a dinner, some or all of the price you pay can be a deductible donation as well. https://budgeting.thenest.com/tickets-charitable-dinner-deductible-33933.html Do you have an expert in tax law you can consult?

Robin: Here's another example. In this scenario, I listed a $3 ticket for sale on my event page. In the nonprofit admin portal page where I create my event tickets, I marked $2 of this $3 ticket as the tax deductible amount (to indicate that the purchaser receives a $1 non-tax deductible benefit from the event). In the same purchase, I also added a $10 donation separate from the ticket purchase.
Here is the image for the resulting receipt. The summary at the bottom indicates the total amount, and the tax deductible amount (which is $1 less).
I can see us being more specific at the line item level on the top portion of the receipt to show the tax deductible amount, not just in the total in the bottom summary (which we can rename to Transaction Summary Nick Farano).
But in general, you should be able to scope your tax deductible portion of tickets in the admin portal.
Let me know if there's anything else I can assist with/add thought to.

Matt Connelly: OK, this is a compromise. I like the goods and services statement. Is this available now? Thank you so much for addressing this. It's important for charities and GiveLively.
Matt Connelly
Robin: Yes this is currently available. You can set the tax deductible amount for a ticket tier in the 'Ticket Builder' tab for your Event in your Admin Portal (expand the tier by clicking 'Add more ticket details') and you'll see the field in the bottom right.
If the purchaser buys a ticket under these circumstances, they'll see the receipt with the language in the screenshot I posted earlier.
