This is only the case on donation forms where the ability to collect a donor’s mailing address (available under select circumstances as a controlled beta feature) has been enabled. After donors enter the first line of their mailing address, the Google Places dropdown includes a new option to Enter address manually
that retains what the donor typed.The new

field of the email.
