Hello I have GTM embedded but it is not working on the branded widget but it is working on the simple donation. Please advise
please see video for explanation
Matt Connelly
Dominique Mattessino: Hope all's well! On the page where you have the branded widget embedded, if you scroll down far enough to the bottom of the branded widget, you'll notice a separate GTM preview container at the bottom of the iframe (assuming you're still in preview mode). This should be display your activity scoped to the branded widget. Let me know if that lines up!
Best,
Matt

Matt Connelly: Hey there is there a way for donations to show as ecommerce transaction in GA
Matt Connelly
Dominique Mattessino: Yes happy to help you with this--can you email matt@givelively.org? I have a guide we've put together for setting this up, and we're gathering feedback on it before we release it more publicly.

Dominique Mattessino: Did you figure this out? Their support is now telling me only page viewing functionality is working. Would LOVE to get conversion tracking!

Hi Angela Whaley, referencing my comment here: https://givelively.canny.io/admin/board/data-reporting/p/custom-thank-you-page for a solution to this.

Hi Angela Whaley, the most relevant option we have for this is through our Google Tag Manager integration. We can add a nonprofit's GTM container id to their donation pages, and we send various events to the dataLayer (which we call to gl_dataLayer) to indicate that a donor finished a donation--whether that would be a virtual page view for a the thank you screen, or a purchase event which concretely indicates the donation was processed and is used in Google Analytic Ecommerce reports. These events can be used as triggers and the relevant data can be captured as variables for various tags in GTM.
We're formalizing some guides around this now--let me know if this would solve your use case, or if you have any additional information!
Meanwhile you can send your EIN and Container ID to membership@givelively.org to get started!

Matt Connelly: Please let me know if you'd be interested in client help or feedback on the guides. I'd love to help!

I just made a post about this as well. This would be a huge win to have access to add GTM.

Angela Whaley We currently offer nonprofits the ability deploy Google Analytics on their Give Lively pages through Google Tag Manager.
For future reference, the nonprofit will simply have to share their GTM container ID with us, as well as follow a short guide to set up the Google Analytics tag in GTM. This would allow us to send basic Give Lively pageview data to their Google Analytics account.
While we currently facilitate this request through our customer support channel, we plan on creating the Container ID field and accompanying guide in our Integrations tab.
