Different thank you emails for one-time vs. monthly

It would be nice if it were possible to customize the thank you emails sent out for one-time vs. recurring gifts. We would want to use different messaging to acknowledge our monthly donors.
At the risk of over-complicating, it would further be preferable to send one message for the first monthly gift from a donor, and a different type of message for subsequent monthly gifts.

Jonathan Lin: yes, before introducing this beta we only ever sent an acknowledgement email for the initial donation for monthly donors.

Noted! We just enabled our recurring thank you message beta for you--you will be able to set a thank you message that donors will receive for each subsequent monthly gift.
I do understand the nuance of wanting even the initial thank you message to be different for monthly donors (which we don't currently faciliate), but we'll continue to explore this functionality so you can have these donors experience a distinct journey.

If you go to the thank you message screen for your core profile/campaigns in your admin portal, you should see an additional section at the bottom entitled 'Recurring Thank You Message.' From there, you can enable/create your recurring thank you message.

Matt Connelly: Thank you, that was fast! Is there a way to make the initial thank you message different when a donor sets up a recurring donation, in addition to or in place of a monthly email? Since donors receive the stripe receipt after each transaction, we would rather have a unique initial thank you to reflect the monthly set up.
