Currently, GL sends all donations to SF with the "Acknowledgement" field marked as "Acknowledged." We want the ability to customize this or disable this as it messes with the way we handle acknowledgements internally.

Everyone, really appreciate the feedback! This is something we plan to implement, but at this time I cannot offer an estimate of when we'll be able to develop the changes. In the interim, Justin's Process Builder workaround may be your best option.

Yes, this. Any org using the email acknowledgement feature in NPSP, or any other rule-based flow to insure thank-yous are provided, is broken with the sync as it is now.

Leigh Bingham: The way I've got around this is to create a process builder that changes it from acknowledged at the time of creation. I know that this isn't the optimal experience, but it allows you to use the built in features (i.e. I have it cleared out and then via process builder have it changed to "email acknowledgement now" one hour later)
