We're interested at Edify! I'd like to try it in our sandbox first b/c I have some questions about some of the details.

Kellyn Pearson: Certainly! It looks like your sandbox has v1.1 of our app, so you'll want to submit a request for update assistance to make use of the new feature: https://www.givelively.org/contact-us/create-a-salesforce-help-ticket

Julia Dunn: Excellent! Your org is already updated to the latest version of the Give Lively app, so you should be ready to go. If you visit the Data Mapping page in the Give Lively portal, you'll find a new checkbox to enable support for Recurring Donations.

Quick update: This feature is now available by request on a per-org basis. If your organization would be interested in having it enabled in either production or staging/sandbox, please reply to this comment to let me know.
Once active for your organization, you will see a new option in the Salesforce Data Mapping tab on the Give Lively portal to toggle on support for NPSP Recurring Donations. When enabled, new monthly donations will be associated to parent Recurring Donation records. Opportunity records created in anticipation of future recurring gifts will be updated when the transactions are charged. This feature supports both the older Legacy Recurring Donations model as well as the newer Enhanced Recurring Donations model, and will automatically detect which is being used in your Salesforce org.

Samantha Wetzel: Glad to hear it! I've enabled the feature for your org, but you'll need to upgrade from the older v1.1 to the current v1.3.1 of the Give Lively app (which includes numerous other improvements in addition to support for this feature). To do so, please enter a request here and our team will be happy to assist: https://www.givelively.org/contact-us/create-a-salesforce-help-ticket

Jonathan Lin: Hello, do you have any updates on the availability of GL integration with the enhanced Recurring Donation object? Thanks.

Rose Sherman: The current plan is to update our integration to support both NPSP Legacy Recurring Donations and Enhanced Recurring Donations. Our engineers presently are working on assessing the feasibility of this approach, as well as the nuances of the implementation. These updates would be included not in the imminent version 1.3 of our integration, but hopefully in the 1.4 release to follow.

Matt Connelly Can you provide more context about the timeline for this as well as what the functionality will be? For instance, will it be aligned with the Enhanced Recurring Gifts functionality in NPSP, and will organizations be able to designate whether to pass gifts in individually or align with the recurring gifts object? Please advise if you are able. Thanks!

Jennifer Otremba: The initial release will work with the legacy Recurring Donations model in NPSP, and is intended to be optional. We are evaluating support for Enhanced Recurring Gifts in a future release.

Will this allow donors to set an End Date on a Recurring Donation? That way they can spread out an amount over a number of months instead of an ongoing/never-ending donation.

Ann Kaatz LoBue: The initial version of this feature is planned as open-ended, rather than providing an option for donors to set an end date.

NPSP also just recently released an enhanced recurring donations feature; it would be great to know GiveLively's compatibility with the enhanced vs legacy recurring donations.
