Relating to Anli Lee's request, we are looking at ways to distinguish Giving Basket donations from direct Give Lively donations. Our approach will be to create a new field at the Opportunity level and populate it with the donation origin, which at present would be either "Give Lively" or "Charity Navigator".
We plan to continue to send "Give Lively" as the Opportunity: Lead Source value to identify records created by the Give Lively integration, regardless of whether they came directly from Give Lively, or through a service like Charity Navigator. (this also ensures compatibility with automations or rules built around Lead Source = Give Lively)
We are asking for feedback and/or suggestions as to what this distinguishing field should be called. A few options to start:
* Donation Origin
* Donation Source
* Donation Service
* Fundraising Service

Jonathan Lin: I was wondering if the roadmap includes a way to allow us to differentiate between the regular donation via Give Lively versus Giving Basket, since the latter already received tax deduction?

Jeff Brown: Hi Jeff, thanks for checking in! Unfortunately I have no updated ETA to offer as of yet. However, our engineering teams have been hard at work with some major architectural improvements that will be invisible at first, but will allow us to more quickly make progress on this request, plus a great many others. With this request being quite similar to the work the team is doing now, I expect we will be starting on it soon.
